Agonizing Decision:- Cell C LTE or ????

Because my current ISP runs as slow as frozen molasses, reminding me of the days when I used a ZX Spectrum with a phone coupler to view bulletin boards I need to decide on a new mobile operator FAST!

I have a LTE capable phone with another network, I live on the edge of their LTE reception area and get 2 to 3 bars signal but also get 61.83 Mbps download, 13.79 Mbps upload and 18 ping

According to Cell C's coverage map I'm plumb in their LTE/LTE A area and so is everywhere else for miles around, so I thought I 'd get a test sim, load it with 1 gig data to do some decent testing.

After duly having got aforementioned sim & stuck it in my modem & stuck said modem in my router I looked to get some decent data to make my decision. But I got cr*ppy results

Then, like the mental genius I sometimes am, I had a brain-fart!! Although the router is LTE capable the modem, bless it's little cotton socks, isn't... merely 3g

So now, waste of time... Even if Cell C's speeds were somewhat slower than those I get with the network my phone's on I'd prefer to go with them because the package (100+100 gigs/month) is more attractive, but seems there's no way I can test their speeds in my area.

As I've been suckered before I'm reluctant to dive into the unknown without a lifebelt but since the packages from both networks include routers etc I'm not prepared to spend a few hundred bucks to get a LTE capable modem for a day's testing...

Anyone living in the Goodwood, Thornton, Pinelands area of Cape Town have any experience with Cell C LTE please let me know

Thanks

PS:- Speed results taken at totally non-congested time of !:00 am
I'll take it again during the day early evening... but still need some indication of Cell c speed
