On the 28th of February I was due for an upgrade. The 1st of March I went to the Hermanus CellC outlet next to PicknPay. I took about 2 hours (?) to do the upgrade (R99 p/m for 2+3GB).
That afternoon I logged into my CellC account and saw my monthly bill is R310.00 (My previous bill was R119.00 p/m). I phoned customer support and they said the staff at the CellC shop forgot to load the "discount". A query was logged and the staff phoned me the following Monday and said it was sorted and my monthly payment would be R99.00 as advertised.
Saturday, 15 March I received my invoice and it stated my bill is R293.20 (with R5.09 discount). Saturday I phoned customer support again and they prompty told me to go to Hermanus outlet because they can't help me.
I went there and the staff member (maybe supervisor?) told me he would sort it out and call me back the same day before they close on 13:00. He did not.
Today I phoned the shop and the guy told me the phone lines were down and he could not contact me, he would send me an e-mail before closing time. AFAIK closing time is 17:00. Yet no communication?
I have 3 contracts with MTN. Upgrades takes about 5 to 10 minutes, not 2 hours. When I phone MTN customer support, they help me immediately.
Maybe this is why MTN is a little more expensive: Better Customer Support.
CEllC, you SUCK!
